Young people and families are a vital part of our worship and outreach at St. John's.
During our 10:15 service on Sundays, Rev. Ann Boyd delivers a children's message and then invites them to carry the cross high as they process to children's chapel. We also have a staffed nursery during service. All children return to service for Communion with their families. It's quite a sight to seem them arrive back in the sanctuary carrying food baskets for the church shelter.
Once a month, the young people of our parish are featured in a Youth Sunday. It usually features our St. Francis and Canterbury Choirs. Other young members read the lessons of the week or help usher parishioners to the altar for Communion.
St. John's has a dedicated room for teens called The Cave. You will often find teenagers listening to music, playing video games, or having a good conversation. For more information on our teen programs, contact Pieter Bickford by clicking here.
