Community of Learning
Christian Formation is what has formerly been called Christian Education.  By focusing on the life-long journey in Christ, we acknowledge that we need to be actively learning all along our path. Beginning with baptism and the covenant we made or that was made for us as infants, we have promised to be regular participates in the “apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer.” Essentially that means we are to participate in weekly worship where the way we pray shapes our faith. We promise to resist evil and when we sin, repent and return to the Lord. Herein we understand that we will not live perfect lives but will faithfully strive to adhere to the Lord in all things. We will proclaim by word and example the Gospel: most of us find that this promise is best done in community. We will serve Christ in all persons and work for justice and peace among all people. The outreach ministries of the parish are certainly one way in which we seek to serve Christ in others, but we also serve one another within our parish community by being present for as much of the program events as we possibly can. We need to share our gifts in order to truly fulfill our calling to present Christ to the world.
