Becoming Involved

Saint John's has a number of ways members can become involved with the life of the church to whatever extent they can. You can volunteer your time with any of our commissions.

  • Christian Education/Formation in our active Sunday School program, or our Vacation Bible School.
  • Christian Stewardship plans our annual stewardship drive and works on various financial programs for the church.
  • Fabric & Grounds is charged with maintaining our historic church buildings and keeping the mechanical/electrical systems humming. The Garden Club makes sure the grounds are properly maintained and the plantings nurtured. The Cemetery Group is restoring the historical cemetery at the previous site of Saint John's church building.
  • Service & Outreach focuses on how Saint John's can make a difference in our community. Parish Life supports the programs of Saint John's through the kitchen by providing meals, receptions, celebration support, etc.

You may also volunteer to support our office staff and help with the mailings and general administration of the church. With training you can serve as support for the various services -- as Usher, Altar Guild, Acolyte, Chalicists, Reader, Greeter, or some other capacity.

Saint John's ability to contribute to the quality of your life is greatly enhanced by your participation -- volunteer for the opportunity that your time and talent allows.
