Adult Forum: “Paul’s Letter to the Romans” By all counts, Romans has a unique position among the Pauline epistles. The letter indicates that Paul was not the founder of the church in Rome and that he had never even visited it. Paul has different ways of conceptualizing how God used Christ’s death to bring salvation; that is to say, Paul has different conceptual “models’ for salvation. Join us following the 8:00 a.m. service in Saint Mary’s Chapel.
Christian Education for All Ages: Saint John’s offers Christian Education for children and adults on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. Classes for children ages 4 through high school meet in the classrooms above Trimble Hall. New participants are always welcome. Adults gather in Saint Mary's chapel at 9 a.m., for a thought-provoking discussion of topics relevant to understanding our faith.
TEC 101: For those new to Christianity, the Episcopal Church, or Saint John’s, Father Todd will offer an introductory course that examines all of the above. Today through Palm Sunday, April 14th. All sessions will meet at the Parish House in the second floor conference room.
The White House Band will be at our Parish this evening at 7:00 p.m. A Mardi Gras Party begins at 5 p.m. Concert tickets may be purchased after the worship services today. Concert Only - $20 and can be purchased ahead or at the door (if seating is available).
REACH Cold Weather Shelter: I want to thank all my volunteers for taking time out of your busy schedules to help make our week at the Reach Cold Weather Shelter so successful. You made my job as coordinator much easier. Thank you. Missy
Please join us for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner on Tuesday, March 5th. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and we will be serving until 7:00 pm. Gluten free pancakes will be available. The J2A teens will once again be our servers. A free will offering will be accepted to help support our J2A program.
Greece Trip: You are invited to a special travel presentation of “Greece: In the footsteps of Paul the Apostle” featuring a 3-night Greek Island and Turkey cruise.
