Adult Forum: Come visit Adult Forum’s fall series in Saint Mary’s Chapel following the 8:00 a.m. service. The series began on “How Jesus Became God!” We will look at the myths and the man. We will begin a series that mixes scholarly lectures interrupted by contemporary questions. Make this a part of your Sunday discipline and join us.
Today We Are Celebrating St. John’s Day: We will celebrate with worship, and a ‘party’ in Trimble Hall following the 10:15 service this date. The clues of our historical artifacts as presented by “Poke E John” will be revealed at this time as well. We will share good food just as may have been eaten near the turn of the 19th century when our Parish was formed. Invite your family, friends, parishioners you may not have seen in a while…Let’s Come Together and Celebrate St. John the Evangelist in a big way J! May we continue to tell the Story!
5th Annual Community Book Drive Ends Today: Last year more than 17,400 books were collected in the HARC/ Rotary/ United Way / ECAC annual book drive by 63 houses of faith, businesses, services clubs, and organizations. Books can be new or gently used for children ages 0-11. Your book will help a child learn to read. Your book could be the first book a child has ever owned!
